Historical Note: The Kingdom of Belgium has a long tradition in Chicago. In 1854, Belgium was the first country to open a Consulate in Chicago; it was located in the “Old Town” area. After many years at 333 South Michigan Avenue, it has been established in Wicker Park since 2005.
